I had the pleasure of working with Caresse! initially I told her I had another appointment set for dress shopping and wasn't sure if I'd walk out of there with a dress that day. regardless of me telling her this she still spent 2 hours with me, helping me try on dresses and dealing with me being so nervous that I think I talked the whole time lol. She was awesome to get to know and has amazing customer service skills! I did end up getting my dress from her. along with my Vail, belt and shoes! I can't imagine finding your "special-est" dress without Caresse's help. She cares about you, and your family, and I have never seen anyone who pours out her heart as much as Caresse does to make sure you look and feel beautiful on your special day. Not to mention the guy standing next to you, he's gonna look so handsome.

Love Princess and Penguin! Careese and Becky worked with us over months and months to reconstruct my mom's wedding gown. It turned out absolutely perfect and made my dream dress a reality!

Let me just say Caresse and her staff are amazing. They made sure to put my mind at ease every visit (cause I lost a lot of weight so I freaked out since it was really big ) that my dress would fit me glove. Caresse knew what my dress needed to fit and to be perfect for me. On my wedding day when I put on my dress it was more than perfect! Thank you Caresse and your staff for everything you did. I initially fell in love Abeline Bridal when my friend went there to find her dress. We traveled from Hays and had a great experience. So, when it was time for me to look for a dress, I had 2 shops on my list. 1 was close to home, the other was Abeline. I loved a dress at the first place but felt I needed to go check out the store in Abeline, though it was quite a trip living close to Topeka.

I fell in love with my dress there, though I gave Lisa a run for her money trying to beat that other dress. She was nothing short of amazing. Then, I got the call that they made the decision to consolidate down to just the Salina store (Making it an even further journey for all of the fittings and alterations and what not.) Though I was a little sad, I knew it was worth it because Caresse was so amazing with my friend I knew I was going to have a great experience at Proncess and Penguin too.

I started my fittings and alterations at the Salina location just a couple weeks ago. My memory didn't fail me... Caresse was, and is, as amazing with me as she was with my friend. My mom came along on my 2nd fitting and was purely amazed at how detailed, sweet, caring, and kind Caresse and her girls are. She takes everything you say into consideration and is so good and knowledgeable about everything bridal. But not only is she amazing with everything bridal, but she is just a good, sweet lady that works her tail off to make sure her brides are happy. You can feel her sincerity from the first moment to talk to her.

As my wedding approaches and I have my last fitting coming up soon, before I pick up the dress for my wedding in August, I almost feel like I am going to be sad to not be making the hour and

45 minute trip (1 way) to only go to Princess and Penguin. The drive is 100% worth it every time. I highly encourage all soon to be brides to check them out. You wont be disappointed!!!

Caresse was so fun to work with, and was super friendly and caring the whole time I was there! The straps and veil she picked out for my dress was perfect!! Walking in today I had some ideas of what I wanted but wasn’t sure I would ever find anything I loved. With the help of the wonderful ladies here I quickly fell in love with my dress. They have a great selection of tuxedos. They take the time to get your measurements for a sharp looking fit for the guys. They have supplied the prom tux for Patrick Giersch the last two years and he looked dapper.

So I was graduating from college a few weeks back and I had an award ceremony that I needed to find a shirt for. However I wanted this shirt to have the cuff link holes because I had cuff links that I wanted to wear. Being the procrastinator that I am I waited until the day before the awards ceremony to attempt to look for a shirt. No other place had shirts with cuff link holes in the area. Not Kohl’s, not JC Penny’s, no one. So I called Princess and Penguin as a last ditch attempt to find a shirt with the expectation that once they found out the event was the next day they would tell me there was nothing they could do. Regardless I explained my situation and from the second I called I received arguably the best customer service that I have ever had. I believe I was speaking with Caresse and she told me that if I could come in and get my measurements taken then she could ask their supplier to do a rush order and have the shirt for me by tomorrow morning. I went in and Caresse was so nice and accommodating that I decided right on the spot that even if she wasn’t able to get the shirt for me I would give them the best review I could. They so empathetic with my situation and did everything they could to help me out. The rushed order ended up getting approved and I received the shirt I needed. Not only was it very reasonably priced but it was honestly one of the most comfortable dress shirts I’ve ever owned. Bottom line is, if you are going any other place for your dress clothes needs, you’re making a HUGE mistake. Give this place your business you will not regret it.

I fell in love with this shop after I saw their dresses during a Bridal Show in Manhattan, KS. I traveled to Salina a few days later and after trying on a few dresses, I found the one 🙂 The ladies here are all so kind and was very helpful & attentive. I was skeptical about finding a formal dress at the last minute - they not only helped me find the perfect dress, but were able to do alterations in a short timeframe. I’m a person who hates shopping for myself. Princess and Penguin was the last stop before I settled for a dress I was not fully satisfied with. I AM SO GLAD I STOPPED! The first few dresses I tried on either did not fit or were to big but the staff continued to bring me dresses to try on until I found a dress that I felt beautiful in. I completely recommend this store to anyone and everyone looking for a dress!!

The staff was genuine and intentional on helping the bride find her style. The process took time but they were patient and encouraging the entire time. We were floored by the dress selection. It was a wonderful experience.

Oh my gosh you guys! The staff here is amazing! The second we walked in the door we were meet with REAL smiles and greetings! We were made to feel welcome, but they weren't pushy or over the top. Genuine is the word I would use to describe them. My daughter found a prom dress she liked, but she felt like it needed a little something. They put a little blingy "belt" around the waist, and it was perfect. They are knowledgable, welcoming, and honest. It's like they want all of their clients to leave with a dress that makes them feel like a ... PRINCESS. 100% recommend.
